Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is so rewarding. Not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends. For me, helping someone put together that perfect project for a special occasion is extremely rewarding. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people you love.
I was first introduced to stamping when my Bichon, Baxter, passed away. I wanted to make a memory scrapbook and didn’t have a clue where to start. I was introduced to a Stampin’ UP! demonstrator that invited me to her Stamp Camp. When I asked, "What is stamp camp?" she told me they make cards, I thought she was crazy. “Who wants to make cards,” I thought. That’s what Hallmark is for! But I went because she assured me the techniques for cardmaking, and scrapbooking were similar. I have been hooked ever since.
I love learning new techniques and helping others to experiment and try new things, too. But, as many demonstrators would probably agree, my very favorite thing about stamping has been all the wonderful people I have met and the friends that I’ve made.
I live in Commerce Township, Michigan and enjoy the life of Lake Living—calm and peaceful with a boatload of fun tossed in!
